Easy Tech

We love using our lap tops..the students are enjoying the new program Easy Tech which teaches them computer skills.

Today we discussed Earth Day and the importance of taking care of our planet. We learned about renewable and nonrenewable resources. Here is what we did :)

Habitat Project

Please read the information below about our habitat project. These are also being sent home today. Your child is required to make a project due April 22nd. Check your child's folder to see the animal they were assigned. Thanks for your support at home!

Diorama Project “Habitat in a Shoe Box”

In Science and Writing Class we have studied about six different habitats, to demonstrate understanding of the subject matter. Your child needs to make a model of the following animal and it’s habitat. Please have your child to read a book or use the internet to find more information about the animal’s habitat. Your child should use a shoe box to make a model of their animal living in their habitat. You can umaterials you like, be creative!

Award Ceremony

Today was our award ceremony in our classroom. I was so proud of every student that received an award, they have really worked hard this semester. Every student met their AR goal and earned their coconut on the tree. Thanks to all the parents that came to support our class.

Here is one of the animals the children got to see during our presentation from Busch Gardens a few weeks ago. They really enjoyed the show :)

money, money, money!

We are having such a fun time learning about money this week! We are talking about why it's important to learn how to count money and how we will need these skills as we get older. If you get the oppurtunity to use real world examples with your child, do so! Question them on what coins you might need to buy something when you are at the store. They are excited about using the play money in the classroom. Next week, we will begin reviewing for the SAT 10 which will be at the end of March. Thank you for your support at home.
